Mixtape Monday: Southern Comfort

It’s time for another Mixtape Monday and this time we’re doin’ it big for the Dirty South!

The southern region of this country has long had a strong-hold on American culture, cuisine, and music and although the south is widely known for it’s on-going struggle with deep racism and wide-spread poverty, the music that comes from it projects resiliency and soul.

Shout out to Chicago. I kept wanting to add my favorite gospel songs but they all came from the Windy City. All of the musicians from this playlist are from cities and states below the so-called Mason Dixon line. Except for **one**, but we couldn’t NOT include that song on this playlist. So without further adieu, LET’S GET CRUNK!
