This Is Not A Drill: Black Mirror Season 4 Just Released Two New Trailers

Over the weekend, the hit Netflix Sci-fi series Black Mirror released to trailers for two episodes from its upcoming fourth season. For rabid fans of the show, this is huge news! Black Mirror isn’t a show for the casual binger. It’s the kind of show you block off an entire Saturday to finish.

The biggest appeal of Black Mirror is how freakishly parallel the sc-fi plotlines are to real life. We live in a society that highly relies on technology but will humanity take artificial intelligence, social media, and virtual reality too far?

My favorite episode of season three was Ep. 1 titled ‘Nosedive’ starring Bryce Dallas Howard. In the episode social media likes act as a social currency that effects everything from your credit rating to how people choose to interact with you in real time. It was so scary, because with Instagram and Twitter, it sometimes feels like we’re headed in that direction.

The new season 4 trailers look like more of the same technology thrillers that we’ve come to love. Although only two trailers have been released, it seems as though more trailers for other episodes will be released leading up to the season premiere. That date is also being withheld. Damn you Netflix!
